ASEAN environmental officials to meet in Hanoi
(VOV-28/7/2010) The 21st ASEAN Senior Officials on the Environment (ASOEN) and other related meetings will be held in Hanoi from August 2-7.
The ASOEN is an annual event to review environmental cooperation, discuss measures against environmental issues in the region and the world, and make new international commitments. The event is expected to attract between 100 and 150 delegates from ASEAN and its dialogue partners including Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Australia, and India. It will comprise seven meetings and an ASEAN exhibition on biodiversity. Vietnam joined ASOEN 14 years ago.
